Chairman and President Lou Pearlman founded The Trans Continental Companies in 1975, beginning his operations with a small helicopter charter service and branching into full service lease/charters of large aircraft for commercial use. Trans Continental's air service operations continued to expand and now include a travel service that provides a wide array of services to individual and corporate clients.
Trans Continental Companies started an entertainment related branch in the early 1990's that includes a production company, a music publishing company, a record company, and the state of the art Trans Continental records - Trans Continental Studio. After discovering the Backstreet Boys and developing the group into a worldwide music sensation, these companies quickly established a reputation for excellence with follow up acts *NSYNC, LFO, C-Note, O-Town and Natural, among others.
